Aruna Asaf Ali

Best known for hoisting the Indian National Congress flag at the Gowalia Tank Maidan in Bombay during the Quit India Movement in 1942, Aruna Asaf Ali was a fervent participant in the freedom struggle. Despite being arrested multiple times, her spirit remained unbroken, and she continued to inspire others through her newspaper, 'Inquilab'.

Batukeshwar Dutt

Batukeshwar Dutt is known for his courageous act of bombing the Central Legislative Assembly in 1929 alongside Bhagat Singh, as a form of protest against the repressive policies of the British. Dutt survived long-term imprisonment and endured brutal treatment, yet his resolve for the cause of freedom never wavered.

Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi

KM Munshi's philosophy of Gujarati 'asmita' and a revised version of  history is a familiar one

A lawyer by profession, K.M. Munshi was a prominent figure in the independence movement. He worked closely with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the Bardoli Satyagraha and went on to establish educational institutions to cultivate a sense of national pride among Indians.
