Initially titled "Hey Jules," McCartney altered it to "Jude" to enhance the song's rhythmic harmony. Yet, John Lennon interpreted the song differently. He thought it subtly referenced his evolving relationship with Yoko Ono, seeing a dual message in the lyrics.
